Kengo Kuma's architecture is a play on light and shadow, organic and synthetic
materials, the geography of the site and imagination. One of the most respected
architects in the world today, Kengo Kuma was born in 1954 in Kanagawa and
graduated from University of Tokyo in 1979. He also studied in Columbia
University in New York and the Asian Cultural Council.
His residential and public work has won him many international awards, including the coveted Architectural Institute of Japan Award in 1997. Some of his most memorable buildings include Suntory's Tokyo office building, the headquarters of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Group Japan, Beijing's Great (Bamboo) Wall House and The Plastic House in Tokyo.
Mr Kuma is also recognised as an authority on contemporary Japanese architectural theory. He has authored five books, including the best selling Shin Kenchiku Nyumon (New Introduction to Architecture; 1994). Kenny Heights marks Mr. Kuma's debut in Malaysia, and showcases his nuanced interpretation of cluster living in the tropics.
KHOO PENG BENG
Singaporean Khoo Beng Peng, together with his wife Belinda Huang are the
founding partners of their architectural firm Arc Studio. The team is
known to be one of the hottest young architects in Singapore today whose
work can be found throughout the region.
They are known for their pragmatic but aesthetically - pleasing conception of
urban living spaces.
Mr Khoo is a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects and led
Singapore's curatorial team in the prestigious Sao Paolo International Biennial
of Architecture and Design in 2005. His designs for Kenny Heights demonstrates
his particular vision for contemporary residential architecture in the tropics.
CLOUSTON DESIGN
Clouston Design is an independent consultancy company providing services
in landscape architecture, master planning and urban design. The steady
improvement of living standards has increased the level of awareness on
environment and community development.
Since the past 20 years, they have been at the forefront, providing a wide range of design services to meet the changing needs of community industry, commerce, government and private sector. Their services are available to all organization regardless of size, putting efforts to provide clients with the best and most integrated design services available.
